bye-bye.

We had a great weekend at the lake. Always bittersweet when we leave. I was ready to get home and get back to our everyday routine, but sad to leave the relaxation and peacefulness of the lake house behind. Back to reality.

Phoenix really perfected his salutations this weekend. "Hi" is becoming much clearer and "bye-bye" is his new favorite phrase. He still doesn't wave, but he will tell you "bye-bye" a gazillion trillion times. This evening we were all playing in P's playroom and I left the room to go downstairs. Phoenix walked to the baby gate at the top of the stairs and looked down at me and said, "Bye-bye, mama". It just melted my heart. I love this boy so very much.
