Emma Kate is crawling! She went from doing some pretty advanced yoga moves on Monday of last week to crawling fast on Tuesday. Once she figured it out, she wasted no time to begin exploring and discovering. We are scrambling to baby proof the house. Electric cords, outlets, and matchbox cars, oh my.
P loves EK's new moves. He follows her all over the house. They are so cute when they play together.

yippee, phoenix is three!
Get ready for the longest post ever. We had P's third birthday party at Southern Belle Farm. It was the perfect setting for his Wild West party. Despite wind gusts strong enough to lift entire table settings up and off the tables, the day was so much fun and P had an absolute blast! Get ready for picture overload.
The Details
Welcome, cowboys and cowgirls!
Each party guest got a cowboy hat and a stick pony.
The ponies
These were such a hit! The kiddos loved them and they turned out perfect.
The gift table
Downtown Phoenix City
This was one of my wild ideas. Thanks to my mom, dad, and Joyce for making this happen. I painted the signs on reclaimed wood from mom's friend Joyce's barn in South Carolina and dad used a limb from a tree they cut down to assemble the signs.
Phoenix City General Store
The kids did some serious shopping in the General Store. They scored things like sheriffs badges, train whistles, pop guns, cow bells, Boston baked beans and cow tails.
Food and drinks
We had good ole' Pippin's barbecue for lunch. Yummy!
Sweet tea and Roy Rogers to drink.
I used old jeans to make silverware/napkin holders. Too bad the silverware blew right out of them. Thanks to everyone for the jean donations.
The cake
Bliss Bakery in McDonough did an outstanding job on the cake. I loved it and so did P. The edible "3" on the top was P's favorite.
The Games
Horse ropin' at the range
Again, thanks to my dad for building the horse sawhorse. The boys had a lot of fun with this, even though it was a tad bit difficult. Their favorite part was tightening the rope. They all wanted a turn at pulling.
Shootout at the OK Corral
We used rubber band guns and empty cans. The kids had fun with this, too. The wind blew the cans over faster than we could set them up.
Goldminer's Gulch
The kids loved this game! I spray painted rocks with gold paint and buried them in sand. The kids had to sift through the sand to find the gold. Some of the kids were a little protective of their gold nuggets. Cousin Allie told great granny to "guard hers with her life". Too cute! Thanks to my father-in-law for building the mining table. It was perfect!
Pony Racing
I so wish I had video taped this. Hilarious! I gave the parents cowbells to cheer on the racers. A few of the kids were at the finish line before some others even started. Tommy went backwards around the track. Phoenix only wanted to ring the bell. And Allie went to the finish line and back to the starting line again. It was pure chaos and so much fun! This is the best pic I could get of the kids with their ponies.
The People
The people were the best part of the entire day. Phoenix is so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends. Everyone braved the 40 mph wind gusts without even complaining. Thank you to everyone that came and made Phoenix's day so very special. We are so blessed!
P's day was perfect in every way....just.like.him. I love you, little buddy. Happy Third Birthday!
