Yay for family time! With Taylor working 60+ hour weeks lately, I'm missing all of the family time we used to spend together. Taylor managed to take off a half day from work yesterday, with plans to take P to see a Gwinnett Braves game. Due to the yucky weather, we scrambled to come up with something to do together indoors, instead. We were not sure how much Phoenix would be able to participate, but we chose the local bowling alley for our Friday afternoon hangout. (Thank God we went before 5pm, because I'm not sure this place is family friendly after dark.)
Wow, does our local lanes cater to kids! Bumpers, kids-sized shoes, lightweight balls, and ramps. (I almost requested a kiddie ball myself, since it's been 10+ years since I've bowled.) P quickly caught on to the game and loved every minute.

What kid is not fascinated by the ball return? He was good at keeping his hands away until the ball came to a stop. He even used the hand dryer while waiting on his second roll.
Deceiving, huh? The ball looked just like the one I used, but weighed all of 2 pounds. He loved being able to pick up his ball and carry it to the ramp all.by.himself.
EK even had a good time. She loved all of the lights and (loud) sounds.
And, for the record, I beat Taylor by 6 points. And Phoenix beat Taylor by 2. Just sayin'. And, two days later, Taylor was still sore from our one game of bowling. Just sayin'. For the record, and all.
