Today we headed down to Kicks for Kids in Stockbridge to get Master P some new shoes. Shoes....Phoenix loves them! He loves to play with mommy and daddy's shoes, untie the shoelaces, put them in his mouth (don't worry, we are trying to put an end to this behavior), and bang them on the floor. He also loves when we put shoes on HIS feet. He laughs histerically and curls his toes, making it impossible to get the shoes on. Mommy says, "push, Phoenix", and he just curls his toes tighter and laughs even harder. I get a huge kick (no pun intended) out of our attempts at "shoe dressing". Needless to say, Phoenix goes barefoot most of the time.
But, we have decided it's about time for him to get some new shoes since he is soooo close to walking. I don't like to let him stand on the disgusting floor of public places without shoes on his precious tootsies. The lady in the shoe store was super nice and helpful. She was incredibly patient with Phoenix and his toe-curling. We must have tried on 15 pairs of shoes. I didn't know there were so many options for childrens' foot apparel! Well, our shopping trip was a success. We left there with two pairs of adorable, and might I add, practical, pairs of kiddie kicks. We were both satisfied with the purchase and ready for lunch. Mission accomplished.
