discoverer.

At sixteen months, P is so full of energetic curiosity. Our days are non-stop, sunrise to sunset. (And sometimes later.) He loves to investigate new places and discover the wonder and excitement that they hold. We have recently introduced him to a new park, in which the adventures are endless. He discovered the train. Now he walks around toot-tooting like a train, day in and day out. He climbed every set of stairs he could find, and there are lots of them. He rolled down the huge hill. He played peek-a-boo with his daddy in a ramshackle barn. And, he found this makeshift chair.

He loved this chair. (If you could even call it a chair.) He ran circles around it. He felt its rough, splintery texture. He climbed on the chair. And he sat in the chair until both he and the chair toppled over.

The chair may have been his greatest discovery of the day. In a child's eyes, the simple things in life are the most intriguing. We can learn things from these kids.
