My entire family loves snow. I was raised to love skiing. I have been skiing since I was seven. And my granny lived in West Virginia, so we visited her often. Especially in the winter months. Most folks hide indoors at the first sign of a snowflake. Not me. I go searching for more. I check the snow report app on my iPhone at least five times a day and dream of where I'll fly next for some good tree skiing. But, unfortunately, snow is not common in these parts. Snow Mountain at Stone Mountain is the next best thing. No skiing, just tubing and a gigantic slushie machine that spits out shaved ice. Enough shaved ice to resemble snow. It's not exactly the soft powder that I'm used to, but it will have to do. And, boy, did we have fun.
My little P is a ski bum at heart. He's got it in his blood. Can't you tell?
He just jumped right in and began making snow structures. He also fell quite gracefully, which just reinforces the fact that he's a born skier. Us skiers don't fall often, but when we do, we fall with style.

The park had a small bunny slope for the kiddos to sled down. P didn't even hesitate to give it a whirl.
He just hopped in the sled and Taylor gave him a nice, big push.
And he held on tight. He kept chanting, "More! More!". And then he'd sled again. And again. And again.
We even made Smores. A day in the snow is not complete without them. Plus, Aunt Jenny has to have her daily chocolate fix. Who invented Smores anyway? They should win an award.

Just look at that yummy treat created by aunt Jenny. She is the master Smore maker in our family, for sure. I lost my marshmallow in the dirt and my mom caught her's on fire.

We had a great time playing in the snow with my family. And as for the tubing, it was a lot of fun, too. I felt like a kid again. A kid that screamed the entire ride down the hill. Boy, it was fun. So much fun I even heard Taylor let out a small holler.

so glad Tay took my advice. :) Shh..but one day at work I had to print our ticket order and it printed at the chain host (which was then at Taylor's store..LOL). He called North and was like "who keeps printing Snow Mountain things on the chain host??" Uh..guilty as charged. :) Then I was like you HAVE to take P there next year!! So glad you did. The sledding is so much fun watching their faces. We are going in February.
Felicia-We love Stone Mountain! We bought an Annual Pass for the year. I think you've said y'all have one, too. We should take the boys to something one day. Maybe after this cold weather passes....
